This pillow is top quality latex and very firm support. The latex is soft and does have give, but the support is firmly there, more so than the last latex pillow I bought some 10 years ago. The latex pillows do last a long time, so count on it being around for a while. If you like a soft but firm support pillow, this may be right for you, but if you like soft, squishy pillows, best to make another choice. I would also suggest buying king size pillow cases for the queen size pillows because latex holds it shape more so than other types of pillows. I might also add that this pillow should not be confused with other types of contour foam pillows, it is not the same kind of foam.
